Carl the Cuddler
Carl is a sweet, bouncy boy who came to us with barely any fur, a bad case of mange, and cuts all over his face. His fur is coming back in so beautifully, and he’s looking as handsome as ever! Whatever he has been through in his past doesn’t get in the way of him loving every person he lays eyes on! Carl LOVES to give hugs and will wrap his whole body around you to give you the best loving hug ever. He definitely brightens your day up with his cuddles and is going to make one very affectionate and loyal companion!
Carl could use some training to help him focus and brush up on his manners, but he’ll do anything for a treat, so training should be easy. He is very strong, but with some direction and further training, he’ll learn to stop pulling on walks. Carl is friendly to everyone he meets, has a bit of a goofy side, has lots of playful energy, and would make a great family dog. He’d also be a great adventure buddy, as he loves car rides so much! He jumped right in the events van and laid down while going to the radio studio, and is one of the only dogs that’s curled up for a nap on the ride back!
Carl tested well with both cats and dogs (although with cats, this could change in a home. He comes in a little hot at times, so timid cats might not be the best choice). Carl currently weighs about 58 pounds – just the right weight to give you a giant hug! Come meet this love bug this week and if you want to get a workout in, take him for a nice walk! He says he can’t wait to meet you!
