I am a 2 year old, Neutered Male Shepherd Mix.
Where are my Shepherd fans?! My name’s Jax and I’m a baller. Playing ball is my favorite; I could do it for hours! I also love to run around the play yard and play with my toys, so I would love a fenced in yard so I could play and run all day.
My shelter family says I’ve made so much progress since I’ve been at the shelter. Apparently, I make them all feel like dog whisperers since I’m so easy to train. I know that a balanced dog is a happy dog, so I’m not stubborn and I’m eager to please.
My shelter people would love to show you what I’ve learned. Everyone keeps talking about how smart I am. I’ve learned how to sit and wait for my handler when going in and out of doors, I sit quietly at each kennel while focusing on my human (even if the other dogs are barking their head off at me), I’m learning to not let things distract me while walking, and I’m good on a leash!
I really need someone who is going to spend the time with me to exercise my mind and body; it’s what I crave! I’m not a fan of cats and small dogs although I am learning to control my emotions when I’m around them (another thing I’m improving on). Big dogs don’t seem to bother me, but I should be in a home as the only pet because I really need to become the best version of myself before I learn to socialize with others.
I need an active and patient family who is going to spend some quality time teaching me rules and boundaries. You’ll be amazed at how quick I learn! And oh yeah, I’m a huge fan of kids, big and small! Come check me out!
