I am a 3 year old, Female, Pit Bull Mix.
Peyton is a shy, sweet girl who was caught by one of our volunteers. She seems to have been dumped but we will never know. This girl stayed in the corner of her kennel for about a week and refused to move. She slowly came out of her shell and warmed up to the kennel staff. It is crazy how much of a 180 she has done in the little time weve had her.
She would do best in a quiet home that will be patient with her, as she can tend to be skittish sometimes with sudden movements and loud sounds. This girl wants nothing more than to cuddle and be loved on. If she doesnt know you right away she takes some time to warm up to you. Peyton is a gentle walker and loves treats! She tested well with dogs but needs to learn how to play with them. Peyton needs a little time to get comfortable in new situations and with new people- slow going is the way to win her heart. We do not recommend her into a home with children.
