Popcorn is just the cutest, sweetest, most loving pup! She has come such a long way. She came in needing a bit of medical attention with a prolapsed rectum, most likely caused by something a simple deworming would have prevented. She looks like a totally different dog and likes to show her appreciation with lots of kisses. She loves people and gets super excited for her walks. Popcorn is such a sweet girl and would love nothing more than an adventure buddy who will take her out and about and then give her all the love.
Poppy is quickly becoming a volunteer favorite – people love taking her out for day trips and walks. She’s so easy going and sweet, and great with children. She’s the perfect “go-to” dog to send out on walks. She loves people, car rides, treats, and her toys. Her perfect day in her new forever home would consist of going on an adventure where she could stick her head out the car window the whole time, having a basket full of toys placed in front of her (with all the time in the world to go through them and play with each one), and then curling up on the couch with you for snuggles.
Although she’s not dog reactive/dog aggressive in any way, we do reccommend that she be the only dog in her home because of her current toy obession. She’s never shown any resource guarding tendencies with people, but with her intense interest in her toys, we believe she would do best as the only pup in the home. Come meet her and take her on that walk she deserves, the one to her new home. She is currently around 55 pounds.
Popcorn is heartworm positive and will begin to undergo treatments once she finds a family that can let her recover in their home. Can that family be yours?
