Check out this PAWSOME 8-year-old entrepreneur who’s using his creativity and the help from his family to raise money for the Humane Society! Click HERE to head over to the Bow Ties & Biscuits website.
“Eight year old Warner Insley (business owner) in partnership with his brother – Everett (silent partner), mother – Megan (head crafter and chef) and father – Tonney (marketing director) has come up with a local business Bow Ties & Biscuits. The family recently adopted a dog from the Wicomico County Humane Society, Jett, and he has been the source of inspiration for this effort – not to mention the first customer. With extra time and entrepreneurial spirit on hand, Warner and his staff hand make Bow Ties for animals out of scrap fabric from mom’s craft cabinet. In addition, he and his mom came up with a delicious recipe for baked dog treats (ingredients include peanut butter, pumpkin puree and some other proprietary ingredients).
Each Bow Tie is custom made with a selection of fabric to choose from.
Every penny raised (minus production fees) goes to the Wicomico County Humane Society to help local animals like Jett find great homes like the Insley Family.”
Check out all these happy customers in their brand new bow ties! So cute!
We’re excited to re-vamp our Humane Society Newsletter! Paws and Claws will be published twice a year and sent out through email. Our newsletter used to go out quarterly, but since our social media and website are so active, we thought it’ll be bigger and better just twice a year. Paper copies will be available upon request. Sign up HERE to keep up to date with all the great things happening at the shelter!
During this shutdown, we are now allowing the public to fill out foster and adoption applications at home, and email them to us. Take a picture of your completed application, and email it to us at [email protected]! If you are pre-approved, we will then set up an appointment for you to spend time with your new foster/furbaby to make sure it’s a good fit.
You can find the Foster Application below, and you can find the Cat and Dog Adoption Applications on the corresponding AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION page.
