I am a 2 year old, Female, Labrador Mix.
Gypsy girl has wandered in to HSWC and we are glad she did!! She is starving for food, attention and to be loved. She is already a volunteer favorite.

Walking:
🦮She walks well on loose leash, but is very unsure – she looks to her walker for guidance. She circles a bit b/c she is unsure of what to do.

🐒 Training:
Very treat motivated and smart. She seems to like learning. She knows “sit” and does “Down” sporadically.
Bonus trick-She Has perfected the “Stop, drop and roll” technique.

Wonderful super sweet girl. Willing to please and be the perfect companion. Easy going. Ready to handle.

Friends:
😻Cats: Gypsy walks right on by, stops to check if they have any treats in their fur pockets. if they run she takes a few steps out of curiosity and then goes on about her about her business. In a home setting the cat’s food would need to be separate or she would help herself to the buffet.
🐶Dogs: not reactive to dogs. You can have a nice conversation on the sidewalk with another doggy friend and she pays no attention.
She would be a good candidate for a sibling for your doggy but food will always be a high value item and the dogs would always need to be separated for feeding time. Chew bones and treats could not be left around. Meet and greets would be required.
👨👩👧👦Kids: Gypsy is nice dog and should do ok with children but until she reaches her full healthy weight she should only be around older children who have been taught that she is going to grab for food out of any hand.
Hobbies:
⭐️Belly rubs-Anytime anywhere. Likes to receive them not so good at giving them.
⭐️Leprechaun leaps & Jumps-mostly to get treats.
⭐️Zoomies -after her walk she is feeling zoomtastic!
⭐️Foodie-Definitely needs to gain some weight. Very enthusiastic about food and treats bc she’s so underweight. Fans should give treats with flat palm. Fingers look like French fries.🍟
🌈This beautiful lab will be a wonderful addition to a family that has experience with a dog that has been under weight struggling to get food. Boundaries should be put in place to avoid counter surfing, trash gobbling, treat snapping. We anticipate that once she knows she is getting food twice a day with yummies in between she will be more content.
She needs her new family to continue to help her gain weight. She came in weighing 37 Pounds.😱
Although she was underweight when she arrived, she is gaining weight well eating two meals a day. She is in very good condition in all other aspects of her health. Her coat is smooth and shiny. He teeth are brite white and she has good energy.
Her easy going nature will make her a great friend to take long walks with and have great heart to heart talks. She is so loving and we are looking for the perfect family to spoil her. She will be the gold at the end of the rainbow for whomever is lucky enough to get their application in first. 🍀
