I know there is someone out there who wants to give a senior dog… who doesn’t think she is a senior dog a home! Luck has not been on MJ’s side. It is hard to be brief but I’ll try:
The story of MJ begins Oct 2015: when she is Seized by Animal Control and brought to the Humane Society of Wicomico County for a severe injury that almost severed her windpipe. Tied out, and left on her own, as she grew and her neck got bigger the tie out cut into her neck all the way around and the metal cut into her.
Feb 2016: 2 surgeries to repair her neck that would not heal ( thanks to Linda Mills and Coalition of caring for the generous contribution to pay for the surgeries)
April 2016 : she finds her forever home. Finally adopted!!! She has a few years going on car rides with her mom and dad and loving life❤️
Nov 2022 she is returned to shelter when her favorite person passed away from Covid. Her mom and dad had split up and her mom Couldn’t take her bc she had gotten another dog. So she is back with us and you would never know her life has been full of so much pain. She finds joy every day. She loves her walks and her rolls in the grass and her Beneful chicken meals she gets everyday. She gets treats but she would like more love. She has more to give. She’s not old. She’s very spirited. But she is a diva, she needs to be the only dog. And would need to be separated from cats bc she likes to chase. She likes to walk in the morning, chill out on the sofa and Go for a nice stroll. She is house trained, she never makes a mess in her kennel. She loves car rides!!! We would love to give her another chance at love.
