Hey everyone! My name is Skittles. While I may be small, I have a BIG personality. Can you believe I got returned to the shelter three times within a week and a half?! I think it was all fate because I was lucky enough to be fostered by a trainer named Abby Morells. She taught me how to dog.
We worked on a lot of things at my foster home. We worked on crate training. I still am not fond of my crate but my new owner needs to continue my crate training to help my fear issues. I sometimes bark when I meet new people or animals, so please take it slow. Once you do, youll see how loving I am. My foster mom trained me well and as a reward, she let me on the furniture but only if I had an invitation.
I love other dogs! I have played with dogs of all sizes and I can hold my own. I need a slow structured introduction to an animal like any dog, to feel safe and secure. I am also house trained. I love food so that makes training with me easy! I would do best in a home that will continue my training, be patient, and give me structure and routine which I crave. I will need routine grooming to look my very best although my signature look is the shag carpet vibe. If I go to a home with kids, they need to be calm. Once you get to know me I am a good cuddler and a loyal best friend.
