I am a 2 year old, Spayed Female, Pitbull Mix.
Thena is an absolute sweetheart, and such a gentle girl. She came in with her sister, Sersi, very scared and unsocialized, and we know nothing about their backstory. It seems as though Thena had little to know human interaction in her previous home – she was likely just used a for breeding. Despite not being well socialized, Thena is the sweetest girl! It took a little time for her to warm up, but with time and treats, she put her guard down and showed off just how nice she really is. She is very treat motivated, she’s a gentle walker, and all she wants is to be spoiled with all the love and attention she didn’t get in her past. Thena does not have to be adopted with Sersi, but they do get along very well together. Thena will thrive in a gentle home that will give her all the time she needs to adjust to her new life. Thena currently weighs about 49 pounds.

Love these two girls
I remember reading the post on the Next Door app that these two girls were running at large. They were extremely emaciated, and from the post “appeared to be aggressive,” most likely stemming from fear, and it’s a good possibility they were dumped.
They were eventually caught in traps and brought to us. The first day I met them, they were so scared and the leash was unfamiliar to them. It’s been amazing to see how much they have blossomed in the short month or so we’ve had them.
Sersi is the absolute sweetest. She’s about two years old. She walks gently on leash and is so laidback. She takes treats calmly and knows “sit.” She would fit in a quiet home. She seems lower energy to me but she loves going for walks and playing with her sister. She is super food motivated. Will definitely be a dog that will cuddle up on the couch with you.
Thena (white stripe on face) was the one who was more uneasy at first. She would bark her face off at the kennel, then once the leash was on she was okay. Shes around 2 years old too. She walks great on leash too and is a Cookie Monster. She always pulled me to her sister’s kennel when I put her back, that is when she is the happiest. She’s going to be such a good companion.
I can’t wait to see when they go to their forever home. It would be great to see them get adopted together but that’s not required. But this would be a great laidback, sweet pair to add to a loving family.
