Valentina 63784

Date Available for Adoption: 03-20-2024

I am a 3 month old, Female, Boxer Mix.

Valentina is a HIGH energy puppy. She is in her third home in 3 months. Her foster mom and dad are working hard to train out the wild child and train IN the good manners. She previously lived in a home with a child and was too much for him. True to her breed… She is a BOXER and uses her paws on everything… in the face, on the table, and to open cabinets. She also has pit bull terrier genes and loves to chew and use her mouth, hands, cabinets, munch munch.
She knows “sit” and “down” and hears the “LEAVE IT!!” command ALOT. Her nickname is HooverDyson because she sucks up everything she sees: sticks, cat toys, leaves, and anything else in her reach. She will need a family that will closely monitor what’s in her mouth at all times.
Her hobbies include running really fast toward large objects – mostly her 80 lb foster brother. She knows no fear. Wrestling with her bulldog foster sister and her cats. She loves to tackle them.
Toy grabbing, tug of war champ and leap frogging siblings.
She needs a grand supply of toys and chew bones to entertain her and redirect her sharp puppy teeth away from body parts.
She whines when she is in the crate but settles down after a bit. She can make it 3 hours without an accident. And yes, she will pee in the crate. She has attended 2 social events and did well. She loves people. She wants to play all day. This is the schedule her foster family uses and it works well to use up her endless energy:
5am wake up/potty
5-7:30am play, wrestle, run with big brothers and sisters. Eat Breakfast of champions.
8-9am focused quick paced walk in the park.
10 play
11-1 nap.
Lunch and Potty break.
Quick run and play.
2-5 nap.
5-7 run, wrestle, learn yard games with frisbies and balls; pool games.
7-10pmEvening walk, dinner and then chew bones.
Wrestle-Mania Part 2.
10-1 Bedtime
1am Potty break
2-5am finish sleeping.
She is a busy 25 pound girl. When this schedule is followed all is well. When she has more than 3 + 3 hours in the crate and less play time and exercise she becomes very physical and mouthy.
She is adorable but she is not a dog for first time dog owners.
We would like to find a very ACTIVE family for her that has experience with high energy pitty-boxers.
She should not go to a home with small children (10+) or timid cats.
She will not do well in a home that does not have a very active lifestyle. She is not a TV watching couch potato doggy.
She will win beauty contests and entertain you ….if you don’t mind a physical doggy.
We are going to select the application that is the best fit for her so she will not be rehomed anymore!!
