I am a 6 year old, Male, Pit Bull Mix.

“Weasley here….
I’m still not sure about these people here at this place. They cook good food but they are kinda pushy. I like to come up to the door to my place and just look at stuff. Here they come trying to loop me up with their lasso thing and stick my outside. I’ve been outside, it’s not that great. I’m getting better at walking out. But I keep my eye on these folks. They might try to sneak into my place and take my stuff. It’s never where I left it when I get back. I try to get back as quick as I can because I never know when someone will come by with more snacks. I don’t want to miss that. I don’t know what to think of these other yappers in here. They make a lot of unnecessary noise about nothing. I like it when the folks turn out the lights and it gets quiet.
It takes me a bit to trust these new people. No fast movements. No small people for me right now. We will have to see about these things called cats. I don’t think I want to share my stuff. I’ve had it pretty ruff but they tell me I’m doing good now. We will see. My skin is itchy and I didn’t have much fur for a while, but I think I’m getting more fur now. They say I’m getting good weight on now…I be 50 big ones. I have some scars from the tie thing. But my neck is healing. I got a bath the other day, I did ok. I let them know it wasn’t as fun as being in my kennel or in the play yard but they said it would make my skin better. They say I’m going to be a handsome boy. They say I’m a nice boy. I just don’t want to go back to living outside.
If you come to meet me, it might take a few visits for me to be comfortable. Don’t give up on Me!”

Comments from my friend Mr ACO Pat:
“Weasley is a good boy, he’s coming along. He was abandoned and showed up in someone’s yard but was terrified. He didn’t want anyone near him. He’s getting over his fear of people. He’s never been aggressive or snappy even though he was uncomfortable with everything. He grumbles a bit like a grumpy old man who doesn’t want his tv channel messed with. He is opening up more each day. And seems like he is learning what happiness is. He wanted to play with the other dog in the play yard. He’s starting to make friends!”

If you think you could be a friend to Weasley and continue to show him what a loving home could be please come and meet him a few times. Maybe you could be his first true love!
