I am a 1 year old, Female, Pitbull Mix.
Darby is basically still a puppy and just the silliest girl! She’s a total wiggle-butt, sweet as can be, and wants to play with EVERYBODY. This social butterfly has lots of bouncy bubbly energy, and is always happy with anything life has to offer. She could use some training to help her focus all that energy and be on her best manners, but she’s already such a good girl.
Darby loves everyone she meets, is not too hard to handle, and she’s not too big either. She currently weighs about 60 pounds, making her the perfect size cuddle buddy. She’ll thrive in an active home where she can get lots of play time to get out all that energy.
She was recently adopted into a home with another dog and a rabbit, and had a very unfortunate incident with the rabbit after a few months. Now we recommend that Darby does not go to a home with small animals or cats. Although she was best buddies with the other dog in the house, after a few months she started becoming territorial over her toys. So if she is going to a home with another dog, then her adopter needs to understand how to work through that behavior.
Darby needs a family that will love and spoil her like she deserves. She does still need to work on her potty training, so she would be best in a home that is able to stick to a routine and provide her with the means to become housebroken. But she’s only one year old and still figuring life out, so she just needs some patience. She recently went on an outing and was a wonderful car rider and had a great time at the event – she loved everyone she saw and they equally loved her! Come out and meet this gorgeous gal and take her for a walk. She’s sure to steal your heart with those big brown eyes, adorable ears, and perma-smile!
