I am a 2 year old, Spayed Female, Bulldog Mix.
Mabel’s here!! And she comes complete with bulldog snorts, grunts and adorable bulldog antics. Mabel is working hard on her New Year’s resolutions. She has started a new diet called- feed me all the treats in your pockets. Her 2024 exercise plan includes a leisurely walk followed by hours of sofa cuddling and binge-watching episodes of Reba. Mabel has a great sense of humor herself and loves to prank her neighbors. We should warn you; she snorts when she laughs.
Potential adopters need to be familiar with Bully/bulldog personalities and the health conditions that can come with those animated breeds. Mabel just had surgery to remove some lumps. Her new family will need to check her regularly for any returning lumps that may occur. She may also need help with her skin. She’s came in with very inflamed skin. The vet staff are working to get it calmed down. It might be less inflamed once she is in a home away from chemicals and is on a regular diet. She currently weighs 54 pounds which is a good weight for her given that she should not carry any extra weight on her joints.
Mabel has been described as spirited and full of personality by her loyal volunteer fans. She walks by other dogs ok, as long as they don’t go for her treats!! She might want to be their diva of the house but meet and greets will determine if she can tolerate roommates. She has not yet picked a Valentine … she’s keeping her options open. Come and take her out for a stroll and don’t let this low rider fool you, she can jump if she wants to. We are working on the sit command, but her joints might make sitting a bit uncomfortable. She prefers the trot and sniff and munch on snacks commands!!
