I am a 3 year old, Neutered Male, Border Collie Mix.
Matt is an energetic, playful boy who came to us as an extremely scared, underweight stray and nobody came looking for him. Matt still could stand to gain a few pounds to get to a healthy weight, but he’s getting there! Matt can be a bit skittish in new situations, and he will thrive in a gentle home where he can take all the time he needs to adjust. An adopter with border collie experience would be wonderful! Matt will definitely benefit from some training to help him brush up his manners and gain confidence. Matt currently weighs about 35 pounds, but still needs to put on some more weight.
Matt recently went on a day trip, and our lovely volunteers had this to say:
“We took Matt on a day trip today, and he loved it. He was perfect in the car, a breeze to walk at the dog park, and ate all our treats….plus bacon from DD and a pup cup (and a glazed donut hole but that doesn’t count). He is a bit shy, but warmed up to my daughter and I fast. He’s such a good boy!”
