Nancy Wheeler 57407

Date Available for Adoption: 07-06-2024

I am a 4.5 year old, Spayed Female, Pitbull Mix.

One of our favorite friends has returned to HSWC. We are happy sad to see Nancy again. We are now in high gear to get her the pawfect home. Included is her updated bio and previous bio when she first arrived. It would seem that although Nancy originally came in with another dog, she has decided that living
with other dogs is not for her. She is inconsistent with her behavior with other dogs in the house.
We strongly recommend getting Nancy started with basic training so she can relax knowing she does not have to be the one making decisions. Giving Nancy good leadership will help her feel more secure during the transition from house to kennel and hopefully back into a home asap. Here are some insights as to how she is in a home:

“Nancy has grown to be a sweet good girl.
She is house broken, listens on commands, crate trained (actually gets in her crate on her own), loves routine, and literally loves with everything she has in her. She has good manners, no inappropriate chewing. Great indoor dog.

❎She needs a home with NO dogs, as she has not been able to peacefully co-exist.

Great with:
♡ Kids (she’s been living with ages 6 months to 5 1/2 her life with us)
♡ Cats
♡ Humans
♡ A crate, housetrained.
♡ Smothering you with kisses
♡ Your cuddle bug in bed

But doesn’t like:
❎Vacuums
❎Anyone play fighting
❎Playing with nerf guns or swords
❎loves other dogs but is very inconsistent and reactive.”

Previous bio from August 2022:
Nancy Wheeler is such a sweet girl!! She came in as a stray with her buddy, Mike Wheeler, so we don’t know much about their backstory. But we do know they really seem to be best friends, and they’d love it if they could be adopted together! Nancy is a laid back, gentle girl who just wants all the snuggles. She can be a bit hesitant and hand shy with new people, so just take it slow with her so she knows you’re a friend. She’ll be snuggled up in your lap in no time! Nancy is already a very good girl, but we think some training will help boost her confidence a bit. Nancy Wheeler would be a great fit for a first-time dog owner, as she’s so easy to handle and absolutely loveable. Nancy currently weighs about 32 pounds.
