Okie Dokie Smokie!!
This beautiful boy is opening up more every day. He came in as a stray, terrified and reclusive. He was too scared to come out of his dog house. He has started to trust the wonderful HSWC staff and now goes out on walks with volunteers and is getting rave reviews:
“Okie walks by your side, seems to know commands and responds to corrections well. ”
He walks by the other dogs ok in the kennels but seems to be laser focused on cats right now.
He has beautiful golden smokey eyes that look intense, but he seems very sweet and takes treats easily. We are going slowly with him because he was so scared when he came in. The transition to his forever home should also go slowly and keep things calm and quiet during the two-week shut down period. He weighs 67 pounds and is an easy walker. He knows “sit”, “heel” and give “paw” (He actually likes to give you both paws at one time with a big smile on his face.) Come on out meet Okie…… we think he is OK!😉
