I am a 3 year old, Spayed Female, Dalmatian Mix.
Dottie is one gorgeous gal with a personality to match! She is a super sweet and loving pup who’s hoping someone will scoop her up asap and treat her like she should be for the first time in her life.
She has sadly found her way back to the shelter for the 2nd time after being abandoned, and she’s really hoping the third time will be the charm. It’s heartbreaking walking by her kennel knowing she’s wondering where her family is.
Dottie (formerly Serene when she was with us the 1st time) lived in a home with 4 kitties who were all her best buddies, so she would do great with more feline friends (with slow intros). She has not been properly socialized with other dogs, so she gets nervous and overly excited as of right now, but she’s still adjusting to her new life of getting out into the world.
Dottie has a lot of pent up energy after being cooped up in a home not getting walked for the past year and a half. So although you’ll feel like you’re stepping into 101 Dalmatians with all of her energy when you first meet her, it’s just because she’s SO excited to get out and spend time with people. She settles down easily once she goes on a walk.
From 46 to 75 lbs, Dottie went from being underweight to overweight. She’s packed on the pounds from a sedentary life, and this sweetheart wants nothing more than a family that will take her on adventures and spend all the time in the world with her doing fun things. Of course she can’t wait to curl up on a couch and watch a movie with her new family, but only after she’s gotten the exercise she’s been longing for.
