I am a 3.5 year old, Neutered Male, Labrador.

“Do you ever get in any LABs?” Well, here you go Lab lovers …the crown jewel of black Labs has arrived!!
Meet Tacoma! He is quite a handsome fella.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Beautiful shiny black coat. 65 pounds.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Easy walking Manners

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Crate, kennel and car trained.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ok with dogs.
Came in with another dog but can also be snappy.
Can be adopted as a solo dog.
Ok with cats so far.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Medium social skills right now.
Very nervous and timid getting intake shots and meds.
Not a big fan of hands coming over his head when meeting new people.
He can be reserved until he spends a few minutes with you. He is not a dog that is going to bounce in your lap. He will walk politely beside you. He will allow you to pet him nicely. He will gaze lovingly into your eyes and put you into the “adopt-me-trance.” We expect he will open up more as he settles in. He has been through a rollercoaster life this past year. His owner passed away and he was tossed around a bit from house to house. He needs a slow pace with introductions to new people and new experiences.
🐾🐾His adoption transition should follow the two-week shutdown including crate training, so he has his own safe space. No trips to the beach or adventures with a lot of people. Trips to pet friendly restaurants and stores should be postponed for three weeks so he can gently learn the routine of the new house. This process will be key to his success as a confident well-balanced member of the family.

Tacoma has just arrived here at HSWC and what we know of him now may change, as they all do. But we are sure he will cruise into his new life, speed right past those obstacles in his way until he brakes for true love and his happily ever after family. Come out and meet this shy guy and let’s help him get a new set of wheels and a new family.
